The University of Windsor's co-op program uses a continuous placement model where employers can interview and offer jobs to students on an on-going basis throughout the semester. To begin your recruiting experience at UWindsor, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Review Hiring Timelines
View our Co-op Job Competition Dates for information on when to start posting for upcoming work terms.
Step 2: Submit Your Job Posting
Outline your needs and submit your job posting on our online recruitment tool, mySuccess or by contacting an Employer Relations Coordinator. Our team will review your job posting and let you know when it goes lives. Postings can also direct students directly to your own career page.
Step 3: Review Applications
After your job has been posted, we'll email the resumes of the students who are interested in your position.
Step 4: Schedule Interviews
Shorlist candidates and we'll coordinate the interviews. You can conduct interviews at your site, virtually, or in one of our interview rooms on campus.
Step 5: Rank the Candidates and Extend Offers
Following interviews, rank the students you wish to send job offers. The ranking order determines which students will be give the job offer first and, if they do not accept, who will receive the job offer next. We'll assist in making the offers and hiring the students.
Step 6: Accepted Offers
Students have 48 hours to accept a job offer in the Main Round and Round Two, and 24 hours to accept a job offer in Round Three.

As valued partners in the co-op program at the University of Windsor, we consider our employer partners as co-educators of our students, playing and important role in providing experiential education and meaningful career-related work experience. To ensure that UWindsor students receive the most out of their co-op or internship work term, employers must meet the following criteria:
Duration Requirements: students must work a minimum of 12 weeks for a 4-month placement. Students can accept 4, 8, 12, or 16-month placements depending on the program.
Hourly Requirements: students must work a minimum of 35 hours per week to be classified as full-time.
Monetary Requirements: all students must be paid throughout the duration of their work term. For employers who are seeking additional funding, please review our Funding Resources page.
Supervisor Requirements: to ensure that students receive the appropriate feedback from their employer, we ask that all employers assign a supervisor to each co-op student.
Academic Requirements: all co-op jobs must be aligned with a student's desired field of study.
Legal Requirements: the University of Windsor's recruitment and employement activities follow all applicable legal requirements set forth by the Province of Ontario.
