Canterbury College New Student Residence

Canterbury college new entrance

Our new student residence at Canterbury College known as Canterbury Commons is now complete and welcomed students starting Fall 2019. The College is excited to provide students with a new place to call home while studying at the University of Windsor.

The new building is located on Patricia Road between University Avenue West and Riverside Drive West, ideal for those attending the Faculty of Law. This brownstone type building was carefully designed to foster a sense of community and maintain the inclusive, welcoming culture Canterbury strives to provide to everyone who chooses to call our residence home.

The new residence building offers two types of accommodations:

  1. Unfurnished one bedroom or studio apartments that rent on a one year lease basis. Prices range depending on the size and type of the apartment chosen. Cost includes all utilities,  A/C and Internet.

  2. Fully furnished bedroom with 3-piece ensuite bathroom in one of our single gender Pods. Each pod bedroom is fully furnished with a double bed, desk & chair, chest of drawers and a closet. There is also a 3-piece ensuite bathroom (shower, sink & toilet) attached to each bedroom. Each pod has 6 bedrooms. Two bedrooms are on the main floor with the common kitchen and living room, and 4 bedrooms are on the 2nd floor of the pod along with the shared laundry facilities. Common areas are fully furnished including all dishes, pots & pans, utensils and even a dishwasher. All utilities, central A/C, weekly housekeeping service for common areas and internet are included. Pod bedrooms are rented from September through April.  Extended stays through the summer are available if needed. We will do our best to try to group students from the same faculty (example Law) together in one Pod but this can not guaranteed.
