Licentiate in Theology Courses

Systematic Theology I

A thousand years ago St Anslem defined theology as faith seeking understanding. If you are interested in how this quest began and how it has lead us to this point in time, then this is a course for you!  In this course we will explore the writings of a sampling of influential Christian thinkers from the Early Church to the Reformation. We will trace the development of some major trends within the field such as: Anthropology, Christology, Ecclesiology, Liberation Theology, and Theology of Scripture. You will gain a greater understanding of the discipline of theology and will develop a vocabulary which will empower you as you continue in your quest as a person of faith seeking understanding.
