How can you Volunteer?
Are you interested in volunteering at the Campus Community Garden? We would love to have you with us!
Participate in Workdays
Normally, workdays are scheduled for every third Saturday of the month. However, if needed, we call for additional workdays. Members and volunteers get together to attend to the garden's pressing needs, such as building and repairing tools, shed, water tank, and the composter, pruning, watering, weeding, replanting, making new paths, and improving the native plant garden.
Come To A Garden Meeting
You must attend one of our garden meetings to meet the rest of us and decide whether or not gardening with us will be a worthwhile experience for you. The monthly meeting schedule varies, please check the homepage. Meetings take place in the garden or the OPIRG house next door if it is raining. Although we do not have very stringent requirements, some commitment of time and effort is required of volunteers. Be prepared to get dirty in the garden, but at our meeting enjoy some food and see what you might want to be a part of in the coming weeks. At the meeting, we'll let you know the next step in the process.
Sign Up For The Listserv
The listserv is our main avenue for sending out announcements, meeting times, minutes and the newsletters. If you would like to remain up-to-date with garden activities, this is a must. Go to the listserv, fill out the information and you will be signed up.
Please note that you can return to this site to delete yourself from the mailing list later if you desire.
