Virtual Drop-in Help

The CTL Brightspace Drop-in offers one-on-one answers to your Brightspace questions quickly. Simply join the open MS Teams meeting at uwindsor.ca/brightspace/dropin.

Winter hours: 
Monday-Friday, 10:00am-noon, 1:00pm-3:00pm

Summer hours as of April 28th:
Monday 10:00am-noon, 1:00pm-3:00pm; Wednesday and Thursday, 1:00pm-3:00pm

In-Person Help 

In-person help is available by appointment only. To make an appointment with CTL's Brightspace support, email brightspace@uwindsor.ca with your preferred dates and times. We will do our best to accommodate any request for times during our regular working hours and will respond by email.
You will find us at the CTL offices, room 2263. We are located at 700 California (attached to the south-west corner of the Engineering building).

Brightspace Workshops

Faculty and departmental-specific workshops may be scheduled by sending a request to brightspace@uwindsor.ca.

Step-By-Step "How to" Documentation and Videos

The Centre for Teaching and Learning has curated a list of Brightspace documentation for step-by-step how-to written instructions and videos that are relevant to the University of Windsor's Brightspace instance, comprised of D2L's resources as well as documents and videos created by CTL.

After Hours Support

Whenever UWindsor support services are closed, supplemental D2L Brightspace after-hours virtual support for Brightspace-specific issues is available 24/7/365. Users can find the Get Help button in the lower right corner of any Brightspace course site to access support through live chat or email. Note that when a chat is started, D2L's AI chat bot will engage, but you can request to chat with a live person.

Course Design Help

If you are interested in taking full advantage of the tools and options Brightspace provides by redesigning your course(s), instructional design help is available by contacting brightspace@uwindsor.ca.

Brightspace Community Training and Resources

Online self-paced Guided Training, videos, webinars, resources, and a community of users are available in D2L's Brightspace Community. Create an account to join the community the first time you visit to access the abundance of learning and support material you'll find there.
