Event to explore artificial intelligence

Robotics and automation will transform society even more than the Internet did 20 years ago, say experts, but can they actually predict what’s coming down the line?

From smart homes, driverless cars and robotic helpers at work, rest, and play, intelligent agents have the potential to usher in a new age of productivity, affluence, and leisure: will they also displace some of the things we hold near and dear?

The University of Windsor is a presenting sponsor of the Windsor Essex Tech Show, Tuesday, November 14, at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts. Entitled “Artificial Intelligence: What Does the Future Hold?” the show will discuss:

  • How is Artificial Intelligence reshaping our lives?
  • What are the opportunities coming with A.I. and robotics?
  • What problems can A.I. solve and what new problems can it create?
  • How will advances in A.I. impact existing jobs?

“Whether you are tech savvy or not, artificial intelligence will absolutely change your life and this tech show will help you understand and prepare for what is coming around the corner,” says organizer Yvonne Pilon, president of WEtech Alliance. “This is a can’t-miss event for Windsor-Essex.”
