In this 6-week program, students will learn toidentify and question how their thoughts and beliefs relate to the emotional and behavioural reactions that cause them difficulty. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides students tools and teaches skills to help change our unhelpful patterned ways of thinking. This program is offered both for general CBT and CBT for social anxiety.

In this 6-week program, the facilitators will work from a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approach to teach students how they can begin to accept their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours while using techniques to facilitate change with a focus on social and emotional aspects of living. This program is ideal for students that struggle with emotional dysregulation, impulsive behaviours, and conflict in relationships.

Codependency: Rediscover YOU 

In this 6-week program, students learn how attachment and communication styles, people pleasing, and boundary setting can affect the relationships they have with themselves and others. We look at “red flags” leading to toxic/unhealthy relationships, and how to become mindful when paying attention to red flags.

Navigating Neurodiversity: Executive Functioning Skills 

In this 6-week psychoeducational/support group program, students will explore the different executive functioning challenges that are common among the neurodivergent community. Collaboratively with peers and facilitators, different skills and accommodations will be shared for how to manage these challenges in the university atmosphere.

This 4-week structured program focuses on the DBT module of Mindfulness. Students learn and practice skills that allow them to be in the moment and become self-aware of what is happening with both in- a. It helps students slow down, become aware, remove judgement, practice acceptance, and make wise decisions. This program is ideal for those who want to become more in tune with their inner thoughts, sensations, emotions, and behaviours.

This 4-week structured program focuses on the DBT module of Distress Tolerance. Pain and distress are a part of life and can sometimes be unavoidable. Students will learn and practice skills that help them regulate their nervous system in times of panic, overwhelm, crisis, or distress. This program is ideal for students that are struggling with panic attacks, self-harm, and/or thoughts of suicide.

Interpersonal Effectiveness  

This 4-week structured program focuses on the DBT module of Interpersonal Effectiveness (a fancy phrase for how we maintain or develop healthy relationships with others). Students will practice both self-respect and respect for others when looking to get our needs met. This program is ideal for anyone who finds themselves being passive or aggressive (or both) when communicating. Our challenges can exist inside of various types of relationships including friendships, intimate partners, colleagues, professors, parents etc.

Emotional Regulation  

This 4-week structured program focuses on the DBT module of Emotional Regulation. Students will learn about emotions and their purpose so they can better identify and regulate them when they appear. This program is ideal for students that have trouble verbalizing what their feeling or why and this can get in the way of accepting or problem solving through it.
