Policies and Procedures

The following University of Windsor policies are applicable across campus in addition to those set by University divisions, departments, and student governments. Students and student groups are encouraged to review the following documents to ensure that they are informed about all applicable requirements.

Catering Services Policy (link to Food Services website) - For guidelines and procedures regarding the planning and coordination of all student events held on campus contact Catering Services at ext. 3276 or 3277 or cateringservices@uwindsor.ca.

Health and Safety Fire Safety Plan - For large events, or when an event is planned in a space not intended for continuous occupancy (ie. part of an egress route or corridor), a plan must be submitted to Health and Safety in advance of the event for approval from Windsor Fire Department.

Human Rights Policy (link to OHREA website) - Policy detailing the protection and rights of faculty, staff and students within the University of Windsor community.

Planning Accessible Events Checklist - Quick reference tool providing information on how to make your meeting/event inclusive and accessible for everyone attending.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policies and Resources - Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) must be at the center of everything that we do at the University of Windsor.

Smoke-Free Campus Policy - The University is committed to maintaining a smoke-free (tobacco, cannabis, and vaping) campus environment.

Campus Alcohol Policy - Rules and regulations regarding the use of alcohol during events on and off-campus.

University of Windsor's Policy on Sexual Misconduct The University is committed to maintaining a healthy and safe learning, living, social, recreational and working environment. All forms of sexual misconduct jeopardize the mental, physical and emotional welfare of our students and employees, as well as the safety of the campus community and the reputation of the University. Sexual misconduct violates our institutional values and will not be tolerated.
