Teaching Assistant Opportunities

In accordance with Article 12:01 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement the Department of Economics invites applications for TA positions for the Fall and Winter terms each year. The total number of Teaching Assistantships allocated to the Department of Economics varies each term.

All TA positions are subject to sufficient enrolment and final budgetary approval. 

Hiring decisions will be made soon after the deadline. All applicants will be contacted by regarding hiring decisions.

Important Info for Fall 2024:

• The deadline to apply for the TA positions for Fall 2024 is July 12, 2024 at 11:59pm.  Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
• Candidates will be contacted regarding interviews no later than July 16, 2024.
• Interviews will be held online on July 17-18, 2024 via MS Teams.
• Newly hired TAs will be required to attend an orientation workshop offered by Faculty of Graudate Studies on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 3-5pm.  More details about this workshop can be found here.
• New and returing TAs will be invited to the annual GATAcademy online from August 27-29. GATAcademy is a professional development event, open to all current and prospective UWindsor graduate assistants (GAs) and teaching assistants (TAs). Led by experienced professionals from across the campus, GATAcademy will feature resources and activities relevant to both new and experienced GAs/TAs.

Graduate Assistant Opportunities

In accordance with Article 12:01 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement the Department of Economics invites applications for GA positions for the Fall and Winter terms each year. The total number of Graduate Assistantships allocated to the Department of Economics varies each term.

All GA positions are subject to sufficient enrolment and final budgetary approval. Each GA position can be comprised of a combination of any of the listed courses as needed, to a maximum of 140 hours per position.

Hiring decisions for each term will be made soon after the deadline. All applicants will be contacted regarding hiring decisions.
