
WINDSOR, Ont. – The University of Windsor is rolling out the blue and gold carpet for Lancers past, present, and future as it celebrates Alumni Week from Sept. 20 to 29.
Whether you’re a recent grad, a seasoned alum, or part of our future generation of Lancers, this week is packed with exciting events that invite you to reconnect, celebrate, and be part of the vibrant UWindsor community.
Alumni Week 2024 promises an unforgettable experience with opportunities to reflect on your time at UWindsor, make new memories, and embrace what it means to be a Lancer for life.
Key Highlights of Alumni Week 2024 include:
- Black Alumni Weekend (Sept. 20-22): Celebrate Black excellence at UWindsor with a weekend dedicated to networking, recognition, and inspiring conversations among Black alumni.
- Alumni Tailgate and Lancer Football (Sept. 21): Gear up for an exciting day of tailgating and cheering on the undefeated Windsor Lancers as they take on the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Enjoy the game with fellow alumni at a special rate, and don’t miss out on the chance to show your Lancer pride!
- Lancers for Literacy (Sept. 23): Dive into a day celebrating the power of storytelling and the written word as distinguished alumni return to campus to share their insights and experiences. The day kicks off with Dr. Jim Weese at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, followed by Dr. Richard Peddie at the Odette School of Business, and concludes with Dwania McLarty-Peele at the Faculty of Science.
- Lancer Athletics “Day of Giving” (Sept. 25): Be a part of this special day that showcases the power of alumni support for Lancer Athletics on Sept. 25.
- Saturday Afternoon on Sunset (Sept. 28): A day to honour alumni celebrating significant graduation anniversaries. From campus tours to special lectures, it’s a chance to relive your UWindsor memories and connect with fellow graduates.
