WINDSOR, Ont. — University of Windsor Continuing Education reveals GreenShield as their Industry Project Partner for the upcoming session of the Applied Leadership Program.
As Industry Project Partner, GreenShield will provide a real-world case scenario to participants, along with valuable feedback on learners’ capstone presentations at the end of the program.
"GreenShield is a not-for-profit health and benefits company. We have evolved to become Canada’s first payer-provider - offering insurance, administering benefits, and paying claims as a 'payer,’ while offering health services such as mental health, pharmacy, and medical services as a provider. These change efforts required a strong commitment to the personal and professional development of our employees,” said Mila Lucio, EVP, Head of People & Culture and GreenShield Cares.
"We are proud to share our insights from our long history of service to Canadians and from our recent evolution, as the industry partner for the University of Windsor’s Applied Leadership Program to help cultivate our community’s future leaders.”
The program opens doors to participants, which allows them to connect with other industry professionals while refining their leadership skills through collaborative teamwork and effective communication strategies. This highly practical program empowers individuals to inspire action in others, equipping them with the skills to lead unwavering teams toward successful outcomes. The journey culminates in an industry-sponsored capstone project, a testament to the power of this transformative experience.
Organizations are encouraged to register key individuals who would benefit from leadership training or have been identified as potential leaders.
“We are excited to continue partnering with organizations that drive impact in our community, and across Canada,” said Jennie Atkins, Executive Director of UWindsor's Continuing Education.
"As one of our country’s longstanding employers and benefits providers, welcoming GreenShield as our industry project partner will offer learners valuable insight on how an organization can lead with growth and longevity in mind.”
The program is online and is open for registration to current and aspiring managers, supervisors, and industry leaders. The eight, half-day modules take place on Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 12 to Nov. 30, 2023.
