I have worked in the field of neuropsychology for some 30 years, now focusing my research and clinical activities primarily on disorders that have their origin in childhood, such as learning disabilities, ADHD, and concussion in children and youth.
I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor in 1993, specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology. I am a registered psychologist in the Province of Ontario. In 2005, I was the recipient of the National Excellence in Education Award, an award presented each year by the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of learning disabilities and education. In 2009, Shauna Kashluba, one of my graduate students, and I received the University of Windsor’s Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity. My dedication to my engagement with community organizations was recognized nationally by my receiving the CPA Award for Distinguish Contributions to Public or Community Service in 2013.
I teach courses in developmental disabilities, clinical assessment, and neuropsychology. I am also involved in the training, education, and research supervision of graduate students who are focusing their training in clinical neuropsychology, all endeavours that are informed by my active involvement as a practitioner of clinical neuropsychology. My research interests and activities involve several lines of inquiry, conveyed by the selected publications and conference presentations listed on this site.
