Goals

Some of my specific research-related goals for the near future include:

• Continue to explore ways to enhance student perspectives in my research on the international student experience, with a particular focus on micro-aggressions and cultural sensitivity

• Conduct a multinational longitudinal study involving partner institutions from Canada, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Germany that will explore international student engagement and participation in the classroom, with a particular focus on fostering in-class communication among students from culturally diverse backgrounds, and investigating the complex interplay between university belonging, social interactions, and engagement among international student university beginners at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Publish an edited book (Springer), Mentoring to Support Teacher Candidate Development.
