WINDSOR LAW TEAM WINS 2015 NIAGARA INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT
The Windsor Law moot team took the top spot at the Niagara International Moot Court Competition held in Washington, D.C. on February 20 and 21, 2015.
The Windsor team consisted of second-year students Kyle Kuepfer (JD), Christopher Macaulay (Dual JD), Josh Marcus (JD), Kevin Wisnicki (JD) and faculty coach Professor Maureen Irish.
The tournament, sponsored by the Canada-United States Law Institute, dealt with immigration, human rights and Great Lakes environmental law. Teams from law schools across the U.S. and Canada addressed the hypothetical dispute affecting the bi-lateral relationship before the International Court of Justice.
The students also won individual awards:
2nd Best Advocate: Kyle Kuepfer
4th Best Advocate: Christopher Macaulay
Best Team Applicant Argument Runner-Up
Best Team Applicant Memorial (tied for 1st place)
