We understand the financial challenges that a student faces when pursuing a legal education and our generous scholarship and bursary program offers assistance to students with financial need. In addition to awards based on financial need, we offer several awards that recognize students who demonstrate good citizenship and academic excellence. During the 2023-24 academic year, students received just over $1.5 million in funding. Levels of funding vary from year to year.
If you require assistance with meeting the costs of your legal education, we recommend that you apply for government student loans (beginning in early April), Faculty of Law Awards (online applications are available through your UWinsite Student portal beginning August 1), and any other awards for which you may be eligible.
Many Canadian banks offer educational lines of credit. Credit limits will vary depending upon the student's credit history, other debts (including educational loans) and whether the student has a co-signer. Please note, the more the student borrows from other programs, the lower the credit limit could be.
Windsor Law has partnered with Scotiabank to offer enhancements to their Scotia Professional Student Plan. The professional student banking program includes comprehensive solutions tailored to your professional education needs . We encourage you to reach out to our partner branch, Windsor Financial Centre and speak with Sharu Jose, Healthcare & Professional Advisor. You can reach her directly via email: sharu.jose@scotiabank.com or you can reach Sharu by phone at 226 577 6957 to determine how this program can help you fund your legal education at Windsor Law.

- learning disabilities
- attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- acquired brain injuries
- vision, hearing and mobility impairments
