Student Diversity

At Windsor Law, we embrace the rich diversity of Canada’s changing demographics and nurture learning environments where everyone counts.

According to Statistics Canada's projections, Canadian demographics will change significantly by 2031, with approximately one-third of Canada’s population coming from visible minority communities.

A growth in racialized communities in the general population will increase the demand for diverse lawyers, who can relate to their clients in a professional and personal manner. As the legal profession’s pipeline, law schools share the responsibility of recruiting, retaining and training a diverse workforce. Windsor Law's diversity practices are reflected not only in our admissions process, but in our faculty complement, course offerings, experiential learning opportunities, and career development supports. We also have some of the most diverse professors in Canada.

In the Fall of 2017, the Faculty of Law launched a student diversity survey.  The diversity survey is part of Windsor Law’s ongoing commitment to enhance its recruitment efforts, teaching practices, student services, and career counselling.

Windsor Law is proud to be one of the most diverse law schools in Canada.

We are pleased to share the results of our 2024 Diversity Survey Summary Report.
