How to Apply

Please note that the LLM application deadline has been extended to January 31st, 2025 from the original date of January 5th, 2025. 

Students are encouraged to apply early. Late applications may be considered at the discretion of the Faculty of Law. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Please note that applications for Graduate Programs are now submitted through UWinsite Student. The eGAS system has been retired as of May 27, 2024.

You will be required to pay an application fee of $125.00 Cdn (non-refundable).

1. How do I check my graduate applications status?

2. I have submitted all of my documents but my application status still shows as "Incomplete."

There could be a few reasons for this, please ensure you read the ask.UWindsor article at the following link for possible reasons: https://ask.uwindsor.ca/app/answers/detail/a_id/731/kw/graduate%20application.
If you are still unsure if you are missing relevant documentation, please contact your assigned GRAD Applications Service Officer. Their contact information can be found under the "Graduate and Professional Application Services" at the link here: https://www.uwindsor.ca/registrar/540/contact-us.

4. How do I write a research proposal?

The University of Edinburgh provides guidance on how to write a research proposal that you may find useful.

5. How many pages should my writing sample be?

Your writing sample should be no more than 10 to 15 pages and maybe an excerpt of a larger document.
