Associate Professor Anneke Smit contributes to op-ed piece in the Globe and Mail about the scholars at risk (SAR) phenomenon. The piece, which appeared in the Globe and Mail on January 4, called for Canada to live up to its reputation as a global leader in the protection of human rights by making a firm commitment to the Scholars at Risk Network, Canada Section to protect academic freedom by creating a Canadian SAR program.
