Windsor Law student Reema Mahbubani has been selected as one of two recipients of the Omatsu Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers Scholarship. The scholarship, established to honour retired Justice Maryka Omatsu, is awarded every year to two Asian-Canadian law students on the basis of their leadership and community involvement, vision, academic merit, financial need and involvement in promoting social justice. The Selection Committee were impressed by Reema's "resilience and dedication to pursuing a career as an immigration and employment lawyer."
Reema says she is honoured to accept the OFACL Scholarship for the promotion and advancement of social justice. She'll be attending the annual OFACL Gala Saturday, September 26. "I am proud to be part of Windsor Law's commitment to both social justice and diversity in the legal profession. I would love to contribute to Windsor Law's equity and diversity initiatives."
Please join us in congratulating Reema on this prestigious recognition.
