Jeffrey B. Meyers joined TRU Law in August 2017. He is a graduate of McGill law school and a member of the Bar of the State of New York and the Law Society of BC. Prior to becoming a legal academic, he was a litigation associate at Sidley Austin LLP in New York (2004-2006) and articled in Criminal Law with Brian Coleman, QC in Vancouver (2012-2013). He holds an LLM (2007) and a Ph.D. (2012) from the London School of Economics. Prior to TRU, Dr. Meyers taught at the UBC's Allard Hall and Dalhousie's Schulich Law School.
His scholarship on constitutional, political and legal theory has been published in the Modern Law Review. He is currently working on a book manuscript for UBC Press. Dr. Meyers will be teaching Constitutional Law, LAP and Jurisprudence at TRU. Dr. Meyers is also a regular media commentator on US, Canadian and international political and legal current events.
