PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 The UWinsite Student Reports and Systems Administrator develops and maintains a wide variety of reports for internal and external purposes including International and Indigenous student enrolment reporting to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Authorized by the Registrar to approve and facilitate security to UWinsite Student for faculty and staff. Serves as the Webmaster for the Office of the Registrar Web pages.
 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

The successful candidate will have:
University Degree in Computer Science or University degree in a related technical field
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and structure I capabilities of a Normalized Database system.
3-5 years’ experience in report writing, including advanced features, of PL/SQL, PS-Query, or equivalent software reporting tools/structured programming language
Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt and standardize to new technologies, tools and processes
Issue tracking and project management software
Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of Campus Solutions or equivalent database software package
Ability to anticipate requirements based on general requests for information in the creation of projections and other projects/reports.
Applicable legislative, statutory and industry compliance requirements (ie FIPPA requirements, Senate bylaws and procedures)
Exceptional written/oral communication and customer service skills (including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders), organizational, analytical, problem-solving and decision­ making skills, including the ability to cope with a demanding workload while multi-tasking, attending to details and adhering to deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times
 
 
Rate of Pay: 
Classification "VIII" per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement
