Dr. Eleanor Maticka-Tyndale is a Distinguished University Professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology and former Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor. Dr. Maticka-Tyndale is an award winning mentor of graduate students and a world renowned interdisciplinary health scholar in the area of sexual rights and citizenship. She held the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Social Justice and Sexual Health from 2002-2015 and is a former recipient of the Centre for Teaching and Learning’s Graduate Student Supervision and Teaching Award. Her research has led to over 150 publications as well as the development of HIV-prevention programming deployed over provinces, states, and entire countries. The Health Research Center for the Study of Violence Against Women welcomes graduate students and early career scholars to join us for this free event.
