  • Designed to be completed in one year, the new MA Program in Communication, Media & Digital Culture (CMDC) provides students with a unique opportunity to pursue their studies in a supportive environment conducive to critical analysis and research. 
  • Through coursework and independent research, students examine the political, economic, cultural, social, and historical dimensions of our contemporary media environment.
  • Our faculty offer research leadership in areas such as advertising and consumer culture; branding and promotional culture; the political economy of new/social media platforms, privacy and surveillance; cultural, gender, and postcolonial studies; urban media studies; contemporary politics and media; critical pedagogy and media literacy; diasporic cinema, film theory and history.
  • Our graduates have gone on to work in the communications and cultural industries (social media management, advertising, PR, etc.) governmental and non-governmental organizations, community-based public advocacy organizations, media research, policy analysis, and a plethora of other workplaces.
