Project Goals and Objectives: Restore shoreline using soft shoreline engineering techniques, including stabilizing the land-water interface using limestone of varying sizes and native plant materials in an effort to help restore fish and wildlife habitat

Project Description: Restored 200 m of shoreline using soft shoreline engineering techniques, including providing an interactive water feature and playscape for children that will creatively teach the importance of water and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified pavilion

Cost: $200,000 for habitat shoreline work

Timeframe: 2012-2013

Partners: Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and Detroit Recreation Department
