Dr. Mike McKay discusses on CBC Radio the impacts of high and low ice levels on Lake Erie

In costrast to recent years seeing record low ice levels on Lake Erie, this year Lake Erie has 95% ice cover.  Dr. Mike McKay, Director of the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research (GLIER) discusses the impact that ice levels have on ecosystems, shoreline erosion, nutrient cycling, as well as weather.
