The University of Windsor welcomes new food services provider to campus, Sodexo a world-leading provider in food services, with significant experience managing large-scale food operations in the education sector.
Sodexo has a proven track record of developing and enhancing the food and catering experience for campuses and plans to broaden and diversify food-service operations that provide food options for students, faculty, staff and visitors of all cultures and backgrounds to enjoy.
Sodexo is committed to:
- fostering a culture that supports equity, diversity, and inclusion,
- environmental sustainability in their food practices,
- cultivating a culture of respect, wellness, professional development, and growth.
“Through this partnership, we plan to broaden and diversify food-service options to be more reflective of the many cultures represented on our campus,” says Ryan Kenney, Associate Vice-President, Operations at the University of Windsor. “We are driven by the goal of enhancing the student experience and look forward to the offering of flexible meal plan options and a wide cultural variety of food choices.”
In January 2023, the campus saw the re-opening of the Odette School of Business café, which will be re-branded as a Tim Hortons outlet in the coming weeks, along with the re-opening and launch of the new Origins café in Toldo Health Education Centre. All other existing outlets on campus will continue to operate throughout 2023 with users being able to continue to purchase items using their existing UWIN card. Students, faculty and staff may also notice catering, signage and food offering upgrades across campus, along with other service-related enhancements.
