This online class will cover a set of proven and highly respected methodologies and tools focused on tackling waste and variability in processes, also known as Lean Six Sigma.
Rising costs, missed delivery deadlines, recurring quality issues and customer complaints are all typical challenges that any organization can face.
Through 10, half days of interactive online instruction, you will have the chance to become a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and an indispensable champion for continuous improvement in your organization. Your perception of your work processes, products/services, and clients will be transformed. Using powerful tools and methodologies, you will identify waste in a process, develop strategies to get to the root cause of problems, and learn to lead multidisciplinary teams. By the end of the class, you will be able to create and implement lean six sigma solutions that will drastically improve the way you deliver value to your customers.
As a learner of the class you will:
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Learn strategies to lead teams in tackling inefficiencies
- Understand how to create a plan to implement lasting solutions
- Master the DMAIC cycle (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control)
- Apply critical tools on real life case studies
To successfully complete this course, learners must:
- Attend all 10 days of class (35 hours)
- Achieve a passing grade (≥70%) in an online, 3 hours, open book certification exam to be completed in class (Students will have 3 attempts to achieve the required passing grade)
Upon successful completion, you will receive a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification by the University of Windsor Continuing Education.
