Anticipating research needs in advance allows you to address potential data challenges before they arise. More and more, funding agencies such as the Tri-Agencies require researchers to submit a Data Management Plan (DMP). Beyond being a funding requirement, a DMP serves as a valuable, evolving document that helps researchers identify strengths and areas for improvement throughout their projects. In this session, a collaboration between Leddy Library (Berenica Vejvoda) and Research and Integrity Services (Kate Rosser-Davies), we will explore best practices for data management planning and provide a demonstration of DMP Assistant, a web-based tool designed for creating and collaborating on Data Management Plans within the Canadian research landscape.
