Tanaya worked on Face Recognition using a multiresolution analysis tool called Digital Curvelet Transform. This work focused on expression invariant recognition of faces from still images. She had also worked on Fingerprint Recognition and had developed an efficient algorithm for a small scale fingerprint recognition system using curvelet transform based feature extraction method.
