Admission 

• Admission is now OPEN FOR WINTER 2025 until Nov. 15, 2024. 
• Applications for SUMMER 2025 terms is open until March 15, 2025.  

Application Requirements

• Completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering in related field to the program discipline 

• Min 72% GPA in your undergraduate studies

• IELTS 6.5/Duolingo 120/UWindsor ELIP 3 for applicants are required to provide certification of English language proficiency 

• No more than three failures/backlogs/repeats 

• To be eligible for admission to the MEng program, a maximum of three failures / resit / backlog is allowed with only one of these allowed in years three and four of your undergraduate degree program.

  • ​If you have graduated from a degree program in India, Bangladesh or Pakistan, please provide our office with the backlog certificates or individual mark sheets. This documentation must be on letterhead from your university and should list the course name, semester taken and the number of times the course was repeated before it was passed. Please submit the required documentation in PDF format with your student ID number through ask.UWindsor.ca. We will not be able to complete the evaluation of your application until this documentation is received.

• For applicants requiring proof of English language proficiency a minimum score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS), or equivalent from other systems, is required.  For minimum requirements in other equivalent examinations, information is available on the Faculty of Graduate Students website.  
  • Admission to the Mater of Engineering Materials option only has been suspended effective Fall 2024. 
• The Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Graduate Studies reserve the right to require further demonstration of English Language proficiency.
