- Undergraduate 4-year degree in engineering or closely related discipline (computer science, etc.)
- Minimum GPA must be the North American equivalent of B. Students with substantial work experience may be admitted with slightly lower GPA on a probationary basis
- Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency with IELTS: 7.0 / iBT TOEFL: 100 / Duolingo 120 scores.
- Citizens of certain countries may be exempt from the English proficiency requirements. More information about exemptions.
- English language programming such as the ELIP, is available if you require extra training before entry into the MEM program, or if you have received lower-than-required test scores. Certain ELIP program modules may be available online.

- Statement of interest (maximum 500-word essay explaining how you think MEM can help you achieve your career and professional goals, and why you chose the University of Windsor)
- Two confidential reference letters (professional or academic)
- Resume
- Transcripts from all previously attended post-secondary institutions
- English proficiency test scores (if required)
- Signed supplemental form (Online required for the online MEM)
