Near Campus:
The following restaurants are all within walking distance of campus. For pizza/burgers/salads, I can recommend Sam's Pizzeria and Cantina. According to my taste, the pizza there is very good and the place is a bit of a sports bar. Sam’s is about 5-10 minutes from campus, east of Wyandotte St.
If you like healthier food, I can recommend soup salads on Wyandotte St. (right across from the CEI Engineering building). They have delicious and healthy food like salads and wraps. You can also compose your own wraps and salads if you wish.
Of course, there are also Tim Horton’s and Starbucks coffee shops on campus. There is a Tim Horton’s kiosk in the CEI Engineering building and there is a Starbucks and a Tim Hortons in the CAW Student Center.
The Giglio’s Food Market across from the CEI building makes incredible sandwiches (just go to the back counter) – but I suggest starting with a half-sized sandwich because the full-sized version is huge! Also on Wyandotte near the CEI is Harvey’s hamburger place. It is sort of like Mcdonald's but it is a Canadian company and the food is much better quality.
If you want healthy and delicious food, to to "soup'R salads" just across the street from the CEI building
Mexican:
I only tried these two Mexican Restaurants but both were really good. The first one is called Mi Casita Restaurant & Bar at 429 Wyandotte St. East. And the second one is Tastyritos Mexican Grill at 2130 Wyandotte St. West, they have really good burritos.
European:
Milos Greek Grill at 1840 Wyandotte St. is a Greek restaurant. To get there you can take the Windsor Transit bus. There are some bus stops nearby but also parking is available right by the restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outside, the outdoor area is covered and very nicely decorated so you get a Greek touch there too.
Another good Greek Restaurant is The Greek Grill at 1930 Tecumseh Road. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the University, but the food and the service is really nice there – so it is well worth the walk.
Spago's at 3850 Dougall Ave. is a fantastic Italian restaurant with delicious food and very nice staff. They also have a downtown location at 690 Erie St. East in the Italian district of Windsor.
At 3202 Walker Rd. there is an Italian restaurant called Armando's Pizza, which also serves incredibly good pizza.
At 1646 Wyandotte St. there is the Wineology Restaurant & Bar. There you can eat in the restaurant and then have a drink on the roof terrace and watch the sunset from there. We first ordered a pizza to-go and then we took it upstairs. On the roof terrace, there is no food service, but if you bring food "to-go" yourself, it is not a problem. Again, I found the food and service excellent and can only recommend this restaurant to you. Nearby you will find a Transit Windsor Bus stop or parking spaces. Have fun trying it out!

African & Caribbean Cuisine:
There are also some good restaurants in Windsor with African and Caribbean cuisine. There is Marathon Ethiopian Restaurant at 60 University Ave. I really liked the food in this restaurant. At 914 Erie St., there is a good African Restaurant which is called Naijafoodeat. I haven't tried it myself, but a colleague from work recommended it to me, so I will suggest it to you.
You can go to the Somali Restaurant, which serves East African food at 2127 University Ave. or the Lagos Grill, which is a West African restaurant at 433 Ouellette Ave. I also liked the Caribbean Island Spice at 1725 Wyandotte St. and you can be there in less than 10 minutes if you walk from the University campus.
Asian:
I also can recommend BiBiM to you. It offers Korean Cuisine and is located at 2175 Wyandotte St. It was really delicious and had good service. I ate the popular Korean dish called bibimbap. It all comes in a bowl with rice, different vegetables an egg and if you want meat as well.
Another Korean restaurant in Windsor that I really liked is Windsor Seoul at 2050 Wyandotte St. West.
at 309 Wyandotte St. is also a good Chinese restaurant which is called Sun Chong BBQ. I really enjoyed the food there.
I also really liked the Saigon House. It serves Vietnamese food and is located at 2169 Wyandotte St. West. The food is really good there as well. I have the chow mein when I eat there.

Cafés:
Besides Tim Horton’s or Starbucks, I can recommend the Green Bean Café at 2320 Wyandotte St. (just east of the campus) in the lower level of the church. They have friendly staff, good coffee and tasty carrot muffins. I really enjoyed spending time there.
If you want a good breakfast or lunch I can recommend A Dog´s Breakfast at 504 Pelissier St. The name is funny, but the food is great!
