Lancer men’s and women’s volleyball teams will meet the Ryerson Rams to open the Ontario University Athletics post-season Saturday, March 2.

Ontario University Athletics has named UWindsor student-athlete Shannon Dean to its women’s volleyball all-rookie team. In her first season with the Lancers, Dean finished second on the team in scoring and accumulated 149 kills, 167 digs, and 180 points.
Head coach Lucas Hodgson said he looks forward to seeing Dean develop as a player.
“Shannon had a great year for us and showed she is going to be a force as she grows in the OUA,” he said.

The promotion sees $1 from every Big Mac sandwich, McMuffin sandwich and happy meal donated to Ronald McDonald House charities of Canada to improve the quality of life for children with serious or chronic illnesses or disabilities.
The athletics department has confirmed interim coach of Lancer women’s volleyball, Lucas Hodgson, as the team’s head coach and director of volleyball operations.
In the latter role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs, in addition to his coaching duties for the women’s squad.
