A professor of marketing, he will discuss student recruitment, public relations, and enhancing the student life experience in an address to the Organization of Part-time University Students’ social, Tuesday, February 12. All students are welcome to attend, full- or part-time.
The Organization of Part-time University Students (OPUS) has open nominations for elections to its executive and board of directors.
Members will elect a president, vice-president, treasurer, and six directors at large.

Monday, February 4, is the deadline for nominations for the 2013 Organization of Part-time University Students (OPUS) awards banquet, to be held March 21.
The banquet recognizes professors and staff members and celebrates the contributions of part-time students and the organization’s members.

The Organization of Part-time University Students (OPUS) has thrown its support behind Trick or Eat, which organizes volunteers to dress up and head door-to-door asking for non-perishable food items instead of candy.
Last year, the program of Meal Exchange Windsor raised over 3,000 pounds of food for Hiatus House and the Well-Come Centre for Human Potential.
OPUS has agreed to provide volunteers, funding to run the event, and promotion.
A big crowd demands a big room. An overwhelming number of RSVPs prompted the Organization of Part-time University Students to relocate its social today to the Ambassador Auditorium’s Salon C, CAW Student Centre.
The event will feature discussion with Sean Moriarty, acting executive director of Information Technology Services, as well as free food and drinks. It will begin at 5 p.m. Learn more on the organization’s Web site.
Sean Moriarty, acting executive director of Information Technology Services, is the featured speaker at a session for part-time students on Wednesday, October 10.
Moriarty will discuss the transfer of student e-mail to the UWin Gmail system, the MyUWindsor portal, the CLEW learning management system and will answer questions.
UWindsor students and staff were educated on wellness issues and treated to giveaways at the Health Fair in the CAW Student Centre Commons on Wednesday.
“Students need to know about our programs so that they can easily access the help they need right here on campus,” says Sophie Kargl, who staffed a booth for Campus Recreation.
Kargl promoted physical activity and fitness classes at the Forge Fitness Centre, encouraging students to spin the Info Wheel, which had questions testing their knowledge of health issues affecting young people.

The event promises free food and beverages prepared and served by Catering Services, on the lawn outside the northwest corner of the CAW Student Centre.

“She always ensures to lend a helping hand for students with her advocacy and leadership experience as she was a student who can relate to their issues,” he told a group gathered June 8 at Windsor Water World to see Amalow—a UWindsor grad (BA 2005, MA 2008) and executive director of the Organization of Part-time University Students—receive an award in recognition of her efforts to improve the lives of women and girls in Ontario.
