The Office of Open Learning is launching a new Book Club to discuss critical issues in online, open, and technology-enabled teaching and learning.
These are flexible, informal gatherings intended to bring together members of the UWindsor community to have conversations that advance the pedagogy of online and blended teaching and learning, while discussing books by leading thinkers in the field. Wherever possible, these books will be free and openly licenced.
The Office of Open Learning has released its latest call for proposals for funding to support faculty interested in incorporating open educational resources (OERs) into their teaching.
Open Educational Resources include open textbooks, videos, images and music, simulations, modules, lesson plans, and even entire courses, all openly licenced to allow them to be legally used and adapted freely to fit your context.

A two-part workshop series will help instructors explore a sense-making process for deciding on resources to include in courses, and the selection and development of open educational resources.
Jenni Hayman, a learning designer and program coordinator at eCampus Ontario, will facilitate the active workshops.
