The Campus Bookstore has just what everyone needs to join the nation’s 150th birthday party, says marketing co-ordinator Martin Deck.
“We invite everyone to check out our merch in advance of Canada Day,” he says. “Besides a sizable selection of books dealing with our country’s history and culture, we stock some items especially branded for Canada 150.”
Deck points to a T-shirt designed in Canada and made by the Dubwear Clothing Co. It is red and bears a white maple leaf with the words “Canada: 150 years,” circled by “University of Windsor: Established 1857.” Made of 100 per cent cotton, it comes in a range of sizes and sells for $10.95.
“Our school’s roots predate the founding of Canada,” he says. “Show your pride by wearing this bold statement.”
Another item that ties UWindsor to Canada 150 is a vacuum-insulated double-walled stainless steel water bottle, imprinted with both logos. The item has a 25-ounce capacity and a narrow mouth, and sells for $29.95.
“It keeps your hot drinks hot and more importantly for July, your cold drinks cold,” says Deck.
Pens, flasks, binders and more round out the Canada-themed merchandise available in the store, located on the lower level of the CAW Student Centre.
