From a tuba serenade to a violin’s impressions of summer, student musicians will present a varied selection of works in a free public recital Monday, March 26, at 4 p.m. in room 139, Music Building.

Part of the School of Music’s Take 4 series, the program features:

• Soprano Ashley Lalonde performing “El Majo Discreto” by Enrique Granados, as well as “Nymphs and Shepherds” by Henry Purcell, accompanied by pianist Elsie Inselman.
• Violinist Hilary Ortiz performing Movement I - Presto from “Summer from the Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi, accompanied by pianist Lorna Cameron-Price.
• Soprano Natasha Ward performing “Willow Song” by Douglas Moore and “O Mio Babbino Caro” by Giacomo Puccini, accompanied by pianist Ben Goldstein.
• Trumpeter Jonathan Chaif performing “La Virgen de la Macarena” by Rafael Mendez, accompanied by trumpeter Anthony Giglio, trombonist Adam Gittleman, hornist Drew Robertson, and tuba player Zack Harrison.
• Tuba player Zack Harrison performing “Serenade” from Student Prince by Sigmund Romberg, accompanied by pianist Ben Goldstein.
• Pianist Pierre Papadopoulos performing “Prelude, op. 11, no. 4 and no. 6” by Alexander Scriabin.
• Pianist Élyse Vézina-Martel performing “La Mal du Pays” by Franz Liszt.

Events in the Take 4 series are free and open to the public.
