Aboriginal youth to display summer art projects

The Turtle Island Summer Arts Camp will be hosting its annual art exhibit, Art of this Land, on Saturday, September 12, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Mackenzie Hall Cultural Centre.

According to Aboriginal outreach coordinator Danielle Handsor, the exhibit gives local First Nations, Metis and Inuit youth the opportunity to display the artwork that they have created at the Turtle Island Summer Arts Camp this year.

“The event is always well attended by both the artist's families and the Windsor-Essex Community," she says.
