Organizers of the UWill Discover conference, March 19 to 24, have extended the deadline to submit proposals until Feb. 1.
Students can propose presentations, podcasts, posters, and performances. Participants can compete to publish their work and win cash prizes. Submit a proposal.
UWill Discover is designed to educate students about academic and practitioner conferences, says project lead Tim Brunet of the Student Success and Leadership Centre.
“We aim to match last year’s success where we had 160 presentations throughout the week,” says Dr. Brunet.
A workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 24, will give students a chance to learn about strategies, pitch ideas, and meet peers who are sharing their works in progress. It will begin at 11:45 a.m. in the Leddy Library Collaboratory; sign up to attend.
