UWindsor professors will share their expertise on issues of current concern during a free public symposium Saturday, October 1, in the Centre for Engineering Innovation.

Featured lecturers include:

• Bill Anderson, director of the Cross-Border Institute, discussing the Gordie Howe International Bridge: why it is so important, why it has taken so long to get started and what we can expect over the next few years.
• Political scientist Lydia Miljan discussing the U.S. presidential campaign: what does the rise of Donald Trump say about American political discourse and what role did the media play?
• Law professor Kristen Thomasen discussing Canadian laws surrounding privacy and the use of drones: how should we regulate these flying robots?

The Mini U will start at 10:30 a.m. and conclude with a luncheon set to end in time for attendees to turn out for the Lancer football game at 1 p.m. Register online for the event, part of Alumni Weekend.
