Lancer basketball teams will play their first home games of the season Saturday, Nov. 4, hosting the Laurier Golden Hawks. The women will tip off at 4 p.m. and the men at 6 p.m. in the Toldo Lancer Centre. Buy tickets in advance through goLancers.ca.
Laurier is the opponent in another important contest — an Ontario University Athletics semi-final in football. The Lancers will travel to Waterloo for the game, which kicks off Saturday at 1 p.m.Women’s hockey will host the Golden Hawks at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex on Friday and Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Men’s hockey is on the road, at Brock on Friday and at Guelph on Saturday.
Volleyball will open league play at Toronto Metropolitan University, taking on the Bold in weekend matches. The women will play at noon Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday; men at 2 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

The league extended all-star honours to four Windsor players in women’s soccer: defender Kat Campana and striker Kailyn Robertson on the first team, midfielder Elizabeth Elliott and defender Brooke MacLeod on the second team.
