Understanding rights and responsibilities under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code will be fast and easy thanks to new online video training developed by the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
According to Anne Mullen, Accessibility and Human Rights Manager in the University’s Office of Human Rights, Equity & Accessibility (OHREA), the new training provides an introduction to the Ontario Human Rights Code, the AODA and how they work together.
“It also includes information about the rights and responsibilities of all parties,” she says.
“The module consists of five videos, each is roughly three to four minutes in length, and a short quiz; in total, the training should take only 25 to 30 minutes to complete.” says Mullen
All UWindsor employees, volunteers, third party service providers and policy-makers are required to complete the training within the next 30 days.
Beginning today the eLearning Module can be accessed through the OHREA’s new required training webpage at www.uwindsor.ca/requiredtraining. Employees can also use this page to verify that all of their mandatory training requirements have been completed to date.
