University of Windsor graduate Yara Mazhar and University of Windsor Students’ Alliance president Ronnie Haidar model new Wincity Lancers shirts.
An event today at the Campus Bookstore will launch a new line of clothing celebrating what the University contributes to Windsor.
The store has teamed up with local boutique BB Branded to market Wincity Lancers apparel— sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats and toques. The items are high-quality and printed locally, says marketing coordinator Martin Deck.
“We are very excited to see this collaboration come to fruition,” he says. “It’s a great look that combines the best of our city with pride in our university.”
The designs feature a Lancer shield over a bridge between silhouettes of the Windsor and Detroit skylines. The “Rep your team” theme draws on BB Branded’s “Rep your city” campaign, which got a major boost in September, when comedian Howie Mandel wore a shirt on Today, the morning show aired on NBC across North America.
Today’s launch is open to the public and begins at noon in the Campus Bookstore, on the lower level of the CAW Student Centre.
