A team from the Office of Human Rights, Equity, and Accessibility earned the most points in the Spring into Wellness Workplace Challenge to win a lunch sponsored by Human Resources.
More than 70 UWindsor employees participated in the challenge, completing various wellness-enhancing activities each day for four weeks, concluding July 3.
WCTOA-OHREA captain Steph Beneteau said her team — Kaye Johnson, Diane Luu-Hoang, Cherie Gagnon, and Shelby Marchand — found that it was a great way to get out of the normal routine and take some “me time” at the end of the day.
“We all agree that this was a good challenge to really make you aware of yourself and the things surrounding you,” she said.
The Spring Forward team of Jacqueline Stagner, Mitra Mirhassani, Hannah Sands, and Giselle St. Louis won in the category of most creative name. Each member will receive an all-class pass giving them entry into every fitness class offered by Lancer Recreation over the summer.
“It’s nice to work with a team to encourage each other to be well and spring forward in hopes of continuing this wellness challenge into the weeks ahead,” Dr. Stagner said.
