The Marketplace food court in the CAW Student Centre will spice things up Wednesday, October 22, serving Indian-flavoured dishes in celebration of Diwali.
The menu features thali, sampler platters with diner’s choice of:
- baked samosa with mango chutney;
- butter chicken;
- curry beef; or
- mutter paneer;
served with naan bread, basmati rice, chana masala and aloo gobi.
In addition to its religious significance for Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, Diwali is considered a harvest festival. It’s a good time to try something different, says Paolo Vasapolli, executive chef in Food Services.
