Gillian Heisz has accepted appointment to the position of vice-president, finance & operations, effective Monday, Feb. 14, president Rob Gordon announced Wednesday.
“I am thrilled that Gillian will be moving into this important role,” said Dr. Gordon. “Her experience, commitment, and passion for our institution and our local community ensures we are well positioned to meet our strategic objectives with a continued focus on financial transparency and accountability.”
Heisz joined the University in 2015 and has served as associate vice-president, finance, since 2020. As vice-President, finance & operations, she will be providing oversight for service departments such as finance, facilities, campus services and legal and will oversee financial matters related to capital projects including the Lancer Centre, Transforming Windsor Law, and the most recent acquisition of 300 Ouellette.
Heisz said she is looking forward to taking on these new responsibilities.
“I am delighted to be leading an extraordinary group of professionals across finance and operations and look forward to continuing to collaborate with all campus community members to support the academic and research mission of the institution,” she said.
