The student centre has unlocked its doors, but precautionary measures remain in place.
The main entryway — on the building’s east side, off the Student Courtyard — is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors must be prepared to show a green badge on the Safe Lancer application. Student employees are relocated from the information desk to the entrance to help guests sign in.
Currently, businesses and services are welcoming patrons by appointment only.
“The plan is that the centre can iron out any issues and prepare for more services to be available in September,” says Eric Johnston, general manager of the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance.
“One family, along with their incoming first-year student, has already stopped by and were able to fill out the paper version of the Safe Lancer App and take a look at the beautiful new renovations and space inside the centre.”
Future changes to the rules or operations will be posted on social media.
