Working with the Windsor Classic Chorale is a pleasure, says Trevor Pittman.

Concert producer for the School of Creative Arts, he has been designing the audio and video for the chorale’s virtual concert, Awakening, which will premiere on YouTube at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4.

“Members all record their individual parts at home on their phones and I help combine these into a video for each piece,” Pittman says. “It is so interesting and fun to work with them and bring out the themes, connections, and the overall story of their performance.”

The program will address life in the period of the pandemic through a combination of timeless choral works and new, innovative compositions.

“It is inspiring to be with people who are still so passionate about music-making and singing despite all the challenges right now,” says Pittman.

The choir’s music director, Bruce Kotowich, is acting director of the School of Creative Arts, and many of the performers boast a UWindsor connection. Find more info about Awakening on the event website.

Admission to the concert is by free-will donation, a portion of which will support local children’s charity W.E. Care for Kids.
