The Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) will livestream pitches by its second cohort of the EPIC Venture Women Program on its YouTube channel on Thursday, Feb. 4.
Funded by FedDev Ontario under the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy and in collaboration with RISE Windsor-Essex, the EPIC VentureWomen program provided tailored training and support for 10 women-led startups over the past four months. Participants have been working with program lead Sydney Thompson since October.
“We’re incredibly proud of our cohort of female leaders for realizing their full potential by utilizing the resources given to break down barriers and make a real impact within our community,” said EPICentre director Wen Teoh.
Designed with special attention to the systemic barriers women face in entrepreneurship, the program provided participants key skills, competencies, and know-how on a wide range of topics. They will show how they applied those tools to their own business models to compete for two $3,000 cash prizes Thursday starting at 3 p.m.
