Graphic novelist Scott Chantler will discuss his WWII memoir Two Generals in a keynote address March 20 at the Windsor Military Studies Conference.
Scott Chantler became the University of Windsor’s first cartoonist-in-residence in 2015. He will be back in town next weekend to deliver the keynote address at the 15th annual Windsor Military Studies Conference.
Chantler will discuss the genesis of his graphic novel Two Generals, a memoir of the Second World War from the perspective of a Canadian infantryman. The keynote is set for 7 p.m. Friday, March 20, at the Major F.A. Tilston VC Armoury, 4007 Sandwich St.
The conference continues the next day with presentations on war photography, air doctrine, and photoreconnaissance. The $30 admission fee — waived for students and members of the military — includes lunch Saturday.
